These terms are governed by the laws of the Czech Republic, specifically Act No. 89/2012 Coll., the Civil Code, and Act No. 634/1992 Coll., on Consumer Protection.

Before we start, let's be human. SingleOFF provides you with an app and a format that helps you meet people live outdoors. We are not matchmakers, we are not supervisors at events, and we don't promise you'll find love. We give you the space — what you do with it and how you treat each other is up to you and the others. These terms state what we've agreed upon and fairly define what we are responsible for and what you are. We tried to write them clearly, not as a trap.

1. Introduction and Definitions

1.1 These terms and conditions ("Terms") govern the relationship between the operator ("Operator", "we") and the user ("User", "you") when using the singleoff.cz website, the SingleOFF App, and related services ("Service").

1.2 Definitions:

  • App — the SingleOFF web and mobile application.
  • Event — an outdoor dating meetup facilitated through the App.
  • Participant — a User physically present at an Event.
  • Ticket / Entry — the authorization to participate in one Event, purchased by the User.
  • Content — data, texts, or materials uploaded by the User.

1.3 By registering, using the Service, or participating in an Event, you express your agreement with these Terms, with the Event Rules, and with the Privacy Policy.

2. What SingleOFF is and the Operator's Role

2.1 The Operator provides an app and an organizational framework that allows people to arrange to meet live. The Operator is not a:

  • (a) dating agency and does not promise a match, relationship, or any other outcome;
  • (b) moderator, supervisor, security guard, or host physically present at the Event;
  • (c) person responsible for the behavior, actions, or expressions of individual Participants.

2.2 Events are self-managed. Participants follow instructions in the App, move in public spaces by their own decision, and act at their own risk. The Operator does not provide physical supervision on-site.

2.3 The Operator does not conduct thorough background checks on Participants. To limit fake accounts, we may randomly verify that a real person is behind the account — for example via e-mail, by phone or by checking the profile photo. However, we do not verify the identity, integrity, family or health status, intentions, or truthfulness of all data of other Participants — contact with others is at your own discretion. Exchanging contact details is entirely up to the Participants: the App does not broker it and does not pass phone numbers, e-mails or social profiles between Participants.

In human terms: We built the playground and the rules of the game. But on the playground, you play with others — and you are mutually responsible for how you behave towards each other.

3. Who Can Use the Service

3.1 The Service may only be used by persons over 18 years of age, with full legal capacity.

3.2 You provide truthful and current data. One person = one account. You are responsible for the activity on your account and for your login credentials.

4. Participation in an Event and Assumption of Risk

4.1 Meeting previously unknown people live carries natural risks — from outdoor discomfort and weather to travel and the actions of other Participants. By participating, you acknowledge these common risks and act at your own responsibility.

4.2 Each Participant is responsible for themselves — for their health, belongings, sobriety, appropriate clothing for the weather, and for safe travel to and from the venue.

4.3 This does not affect the Operator's statutory liability; in particular, we do not limit liability for harm to life and health caused by a breach of our duty, nor for harm caused intentionally or by gross negligence.

5. Operator's Liability

5.1 We provide the Service with care, but "as is" — we do not guarantee continuous availability, error-freeness, or that you will find a match.

5.2 To the extent permitted by law, the Operator is not liable for damages arising from the actions of other Participants or from circumstances beyond our control. For damages we cause by breaching our duties, we are liable according to the Civil Code.

In human terms: We are, of course, responsible for what we mess up. But we cannot vouch for how someone else behaves at an event.

6. When Someone Causes Damage

6.1 Everyone is responsible for the damage they cause. If you cause damage to the Operator or another Participant by breaching these Terms or the Event Rules, you will compensate for it according to law. We ask nothing more of you — only what ordinary law also imposes.

7. Rules of Conduct

7.1 You undertake to comply with the Event Rules, which are part of these Terms. This particularly includes the prohibition of harassment, violence, discrimination, recording or photographing others without consent, illegal activities, and commercial recruitment.

7.2 In case of a breach, the Operator may exclude the User from the Event or block the account, even without compensation. Serious cases are handed over to the Czech Police or other relevant authorities.

8. Prices, Payments, Cancellation, and Withdrawal

8.1 At the time of interest collection (registration), you pay nothing. Before purchasing a Ticket, we will show you a clear price, currency, payment method, and any taxes; the purchase agreement is formed only upon their acceptance.

8.2 Cancellation of specific participation. You can cancel up to 48 hours before the Event — we return the full amount you actually paid as credit to use on another date; the credit is valid for 6 months. If you cancel later, the price is not refunded, but you get a 20% discount on your next Event. If we cancel the Event or it does not fill up, we return the full amount you actually paid as credit — and if you do not want to use it, we will refund it back to your card upon request. If the Event takes place but does not meet your expectations, you can claim a refund of 50% of the price within 72 hours after the Event with one click (good-evening guarantee).

8.3 Withdrawal within 14 days (consumer). A Ticket is valid for a specific, dated Event — it is a leisure service provided on a specified date under § 1837(j) of the Czech Civil Code, for which the statutory 14-day withdrawal does not apply. The cancellation terms in Article 8.2 apply instead, and we set them rather in your favor: up to 48 hours before the Event you get the full amount back as credit.

In plain terms: Changed your mind? Up to 48 hours before the event we return the full price as credit — just tap Cancel participation in the Club.

9. Content and Intellectual Property

9.1 The "SingleOFF" brand, logo, texts, design, App, and its code belong to the Operator and may not be used without consent.

9.2 You are responsible for your Content and grant the Operator a free license to use it to the extent necessary for the operation of the Service. We may use feedback to improve the Service.

10. Third-Party Services

10.1 The Service uses third-party tools (Google login, maps, payment gateway, email and analytical tools). These are governed by their own terms and the Operator is not responsible for their outages or actions.

11. Changes, Interruption, and Termination of Service

11.1 The Operator may change, temporarily restrict, or terminate the Service. If we terminate the Service, we will refund unused Tickets (we will refund the price of unused Tickets, or convert them to credit at your choice).

11.2 We may update these Terms; the new version is effective upon publication, and we will notify you of significant changes. If you do not agree with the change, you may stop using the Service and request a refund for unused Tickets.

12. Force Majeure

12.1 The Operator is not liable for non-fulfillment of obligations due to circumstances beyond its control (natural disasters, infrastructure outages, government interventions, extreme weather, etc.). Affected Events will be rescheduled or the Ticket refunded in such cases.

13. Governing Law and Dispute Resolution

13.1 The relationship is governed by the laws of the Czech Republic. If you are a consumer residing in another EU country, you retain the mandatory (inalienable) protective provisions of your place of residence, if they are more favorable to you.

13.2 We first resolve disputes amicably (dan@singleoff.cz). As a consumer, you can contact the Czech Trade Inspection Authority (coi.cz) as an out-of-court consumer dispute resolution body, or the European ODR platform. If no agreement is reached, the courts of the Czech Republic shall decide.

14. Final Provisions

14.1 If any provision is invalid, the others remain valid, and the invalid provision will be replaced by a provision as close as possible to its purpose.

14.2 The governing language version is Czech; translations are for informational purposes.

14.3 Contact for all notices: dan@singleoff.cz.
